The Summits Virtual Community (SVC) is an interactive website designed to complement the Summits of the Americas Process through the facilitation of dialogue among all stakeholders. Registered users participate through online forums and thematic discussion groups, and have access to Summit-related materials, such as documents, videos, links and other useful resources.
By bringing together the diverse group of actors involved in the Summits of the Americas Process in a single virtual platform, the SVC seeks to strengthen the culture of democratic engagement in the Americas and facilitate the development of a hemispheric agenda that represents the common challenges and interests of the peoples of the Americas.
If you’ve ever wondered what is happening in the region to follow-up on Summit Declarations; what governments, institutions and social actors are doing to implement the mandates and what level of progress has been achieved; or if you ever thought that you could share what you are doing in your country or institution and collaborate with others to address some of the issues faced by the peoples of the Americas: The SVC is a great place to start!.
Why participate in the SVC?
The SVC provides users with an opportunity to influence decision-makers of the Summit Process; collaborate with peers on new ideas and projects; share best practices and network with individuals and organizations; access thematic information and resources; contribute to raising awareness and to provide solutions to some of the most persistent challenges faced by the peoples of the Americas.
