Thank you for your active participation and contributions to the Youth Virtual Dialogue:  “Ideas of impact: Young people’s innovations and contributions to the VI Summit of the Americas”.

As part of the process to the III Young Americas Forum, your projects and initiatives were taken into account as concrete actions  to demonstrate the importance of youth as partners for prosperity.

Certainly, it is gratifying to find good practices and projects being implemented in the countries of the Americas. We restate our commitment to provide international visibility to youth led actions that have a positive impact in their communities. Virtual Dialogue: "Ideas of Impact:

Young people’s innovations and contributions to the VI Summit of the Americas"

 January 16 to February 3, 2012

OVERVIEW

As the VI Summit of the Americas process develops, a valuable opportunity arises for young people to contribute with viable, sustainable and applicable ideas and plans based on projects and actions that they are already executing in their communities. This Virtual Dialogue, to be open from January 16 to February 3, 2012, will focus on showcasing youth-lead, innovative and action-oriented proposals. 

Social and economic young entrepreneurs are invited to participate in the Virtual Dialogue by presenting viable course of action and how their projects relate and support the Sixth Summits’ four sub-themes: poverty and inequality, citizen security, natural disasters and access to technology[1] and by responding to the following questions: 

1. As a young entrepreneur, how does your project relate and contribute to the VI Summit subthemes?

2. As a young leader, what actions are you implementing in your community and how they contribute to the VI Summit subthemes?

3. How can an international alliance for youth development among Governments, International organizations and young people foster your efforts for a better living? 

This Virtual Dialogue and other participation formats (on-site dialogues, an on-line consultation/questionnaire and SVC youth group), conform the participation process for young people towards the III Young Americas Forum. For more information about he Forum, visit: www.youngamericasforum.com
